Readers will notice that some of the titles reviewed are slightly less recent than is normal in Alphaville reviews. This is a result of various factors, principal among them delays caused by the pandemic. We trust that they will make for interesting reading nonetheless.

Jill Murphy is an independent scholar. Her research interests include the intersection between art and film, with particular focus on the body. Her latest publication is the collection Theorizing Film through Contemporary Art: Expanding Cinema (Amsterdam University Press, 2020), coedited with Laura Rascaroli.
